The Hardin County Chamber of Commerce (HCCC) and Ford Energy today announced that the company has joined the Chamber’s President’s Circle.
Ford Energy’s top-tier membership supports the Chamber’s mission to provide leadership, advocacy and services that foster growth and economic prosperity for the county.
“Ford Energy’s investment in our region is historic, bringing new jobs, new opportunities and a significant expansion of our manufacturing and energy sectors,” said Kendra Scott, President / CEO of the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce. “We are incredibly grateful for Ford Energy’s commitment to our community and for their decision to join the Chamber’s President’s Circle. Their investment reflects a shared belief in the strength, vibrancy and potential of our region, and we are proud to have them as a partner as we continue building a strong future for our business community.”
Ford Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, is transforming the 4-million-square-foot Ford Energy Systems facility in Glendale, Kentucky, into a dedicated assembly site for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) prismatic battery energy storage systems.
Backed by more than a century of manufacturing expertise, Ford Energy plans to produce an estimated 20 gigawatt-hours of energy storage annually, with production planned to begin in late 2027. Ford’s $2 billion investment is expected to create at least 2,100 new jobs.
“Ford Energy’s commitment in Hardin County is rooted in the communities where our employees live and work,” said Tony Reinhart, Ford director of State and Local Government Affairs, who was the featured speaker at the Chamber’s Monthly Membership Luncheon on Oct. 14. “As we move forward with this investment in Glendale, we want to be a good partner to the region, not only through the jobs and economic opportunities we create, but through the relationships we build within the community. Joining the Hardin County Chamber’s President’s Circle is an important enabler toward that goal, and we’re proud to support the Chamber’s work on behalf of businesses and the broader Hardin County community.”
