Ford Energy Names Peter Villa Director of After-Sales & Service

DEARBORN, Mich., May 6, 2026 -- Ford Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, has appointed Peter Villa as Director, After-Sales Service. Reporting to Lisa Drake, President, Ford Energy, Villa will lead all after-sales & service operations for Ford Energy’s battery energy storage systems.

Villa joins Ford Energy with extensive experience scaling and operating service infrastructure through multiple key positions with major energy storage players. He previously held leadership roles at Powin and FlexGen managing service delivery for utility-scale assets, as well as foundational roles at Tesla and Rivian where he led manufacturing teams and developed mobile service platforms and digital interfaces to support rapid fleet scaling.

At Ford Energy, Villa is responsible for the post-installation lifecycle of the unit’s LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) prismatic cell-based DC container systems. His mandate includes managing a mature distributed technician network, overseeing spare parts logistics, and implementing a digital service interface to ensure grid-scale uptime.

"Our customers require more than just capacity; they require bankable reliability," said Lisa Drake, President, Ford Energy. "Peter’s experience building service operations from the ground up - specifically his work with distributed networks and B2B service level agreements - is critical as we scale our domestic manufacturing."

Villa’s appointment comes as Ford Energy prepares to bring its initial 20 GWh of annual capacity online.

"I’ve seen service models fail to keep pace with industrial scaling," said Villa. "Joining Ford Energy is an opportunity to solve that at scale. We aren't just reacting to issues; we are applying field data acquisition and analysis to create a proactive and predictive service model. My goal is to ensure the service architecture is as well-engineered as the product itself."
